Location: Winona, MN The test technician provides support and debug for test processes in manufacturing. Essential Functions and Competencies Level I-II • Ability to become proficient in debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) • Demonstrate basic analytical skills • Basic understanding of Test Measurement and Debug Techniques • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills • Effective interpersonal skills • Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required • Effective organization and prioritization skills • Demonstrate high attention to detail • Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when representing the company • Ability to work with diverse groups • Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required • Ability to work overtime when needed • Participate in a continuous improvement activity • Demonstrate the ability to use volt meter, power supply and oscilloscope Level II • Become proficient in debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) • Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to develop basic creative solutions • Demonstrate an understanding of Test Measurement and Debug Techniques • Ability to debug and troubleshoot a test platform, including the software and hardware Qualifications / Education / Experience Vacancy: 4th shift (three, 12-hour shifts): Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 4th shift includes incentive pay (36 hours worked, paid for 40 hours). Level I-II • Perform debug and test assemblies to component level utilizing block diagrams and schematics • Perform tester maintenance and upkeep • Aid operator in troubleshooting problems • Provide training and ongoing support to the Test operators • Communicate problems to proper senior Test Technician, Test Engineer and/or leader • Develop skills and knowledge with test platform(s) • Comply with quality assurance policies and methodologies; develop and strong quality orientation • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards (daily use of ESD and safety protective devices: eye protection, smock, and foot straps) Level II • Perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above • Aid leadership by recommending improvements in test processes and debug techniques • Debug medium complexity assemblies to component level • Provide feedback to leadership regarding product flow and work sequence • Document improved debug techniques • Monitor production processes and test systems to decrease No Defects Found (NDF's) • Perform tester maintenance and up-keep and recommend improvements to test process Level I: 0-3+ years of electronic diagnosis experience Level II: 5+ years of experience in test/debug of moderate to complex electronic assemblies to component level Candidate must have a 2 year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
